Here is an example:<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;General Prayer Topics<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>(1) Living holy and godly lives looking forward to the Day of God;<br \/>\n(2)\u00a0<strong>Evangelization of all the cities and campuses of the world by raising 100,000 Bible teachers and missionaries in this generation;<\/strong><br \/>\n(3)\u00a0Raising many long-term and short-term missionaries through the 2018\u00a0ISBC;\u00a0<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Source:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ubf.org\/prayer-topics\/world-mission-prayer-topics\">http:\/\/www.ubf.org\/prayer-topics\/world-mission-prayer-topics<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Did you noticed how out of all the three prayer topics the numeric one is bolded?<\/p>\n<p>In the bible it is unbiblical to take a census let alone be fixated on numbers when God himself didn&#8217;t say so.<\/p>\n<h1 class=\"passage-display\"><span class=\"passage-display-bcv\">1 Chronicles 21:1-14\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"passage-display-version\">New International Version (NIV)<\/span><\/h1>\n<h3><span id=\"en-NIV-10936\" class=\"text 1Chr-21-1\">David Counts the Fighting Men<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"chapter-2\"><span class=\"text 1Chr-21-1\"><span class=\"chapternum\">21\u00a0<\/span>Satan\u00a0rose up against Israel and incited David to take a census\u00a0of Israel.<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-10937\" class=\"text 1Chr-21-2\"><sup class=\"versenum\">2\u00a0<\/sup>So David said to Joab and the commanders of the troops, \u201cGo and count\u00a0the Israelites from Beersheba to Dan. Then report back to me so that I may know how many there are.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NIV-10938\" class=\"text 1Chr-21-3\"><sup class=\"versenum\">3\u00a0<\/sup>But Joab replied, \u201cMay the\u00a0<span class=\"small-caps\">Lord<\/span>\u00a0multiply his troops a hundred times over.\u00a0My lord the king, are they not all my lord\u2019s subjects? Why does my lord want to do this? Why should he bring guilt on Israel?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NIV-10939\" class=\"text 1Chr-21-4\"><sup class=\"versenum\">4\u00a0<\/sup>The king\u2019s word, however, overruled Joab; so Joab left and went throughout Israel and then came back to Jerusalem.<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-10940\" class=\"text 1Chr-21-5\"><sup class=\"versenum\">5\u00a0<\/sup>Joab reported the number of the fighting men to David: In all Israel\u00a0there were one million one hundred thousand men who could handle a sword, including four hundred and seventy thousand in Judah.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NIV-10941\" class=\"text 1Chr-21-6\"><sup class=\"versenum\">6\u00a0<\/sup>But Joab did not include Levi and Benjamin in the numbering, because the king\u2019s command was repulsive to him.<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-10942\" class=\"text 1Chr-21-7\"><sup class=\"versenum\">7\u00a0<\/sup>This command was also evil in the sight of God; so he punished Israel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NIV-10943\" class=\"text 1Chr-21-8\"><sup class=\"versenum\">8\u00a0<\/sup>Then David said to God, \u201cI have sinned greatly by doing this. Now, I beg you, take away the guilt of your servant. I have done a very foolish thing.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NIV-10944\" class=\"text 1Chr-21-9\"><sup class=\"versenum\">9\u00a0<\/sup>The\u00a0<span class=\"small-caps\">Lord<\/span>\u00a0said to Gad,\u00a0David\u2019s seer,<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-10945\" class=\"text 1Chr-21-10\"><sup class=\"versenum\">10\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cGo and tell David, \u2018This is what the\u00a0<span class=\"small-caps\">Lord<\/span>\u00a0says: I am giving you three options. Choose one of them for me to carry out against you.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NIV-10946\" class=\"text 1Chr-21-11\"><sup class=\"versenum\">11\u00a0<\/sup>So Gad went to David and said to him, \u201cThis is what the\u00a0<span class=\"small-caps\">Lord<\/span>\u00a0says: \u2018Take your choice:<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"en-NIV-10947\" class=\"text 1Chr-21-12\"><sup class=\"versenum\">12\u00a0<\/sup>three years of famine,\u00a0three months of being swept away<sup class=\"footnote\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; font-size: 0.625em; line-height: 22px; position: relative; vertical-align: top; top: 0px;\" data-fn=\"#fen-NIV-10947a\" data-link=\"[&lt;a href=&quot;#fen-NIV-10947a&quot; title=&quot;See footnote a&quot;&gt;a&lt;\/a&gt;]\">[<a title=\"See footnote a\" href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=1+Chronicles+21&amp;version=NIV#fen-NIV-10947a\">a<\/a>]<\/sup>\u00a0before your enemies, with their swords overtaking you, or three days of the sword\u00a0of the\u00a0<span class=\"small-caps\">Lord<\/span>\u2014days of plague in the land, with the angel of the\u00a0<span class=\"small-caps\">Lord<\/span>\u00a0ravaging every part of Israel.\u2019 Now then, decide how I should answer the one who sent me.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NIV-10948\" class=\"text 1Chr-21-13\"><sup class=\"versenum\">13\u00a0<\/sup>David said to Gad, \u201cI am in deep distress. Let me fall into the hands of the\u00a0<span class=\"small-caps\">Lord<\/span>, for his mercy\u00a0is very great; but do not let me fall into human hands.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"en-NIV-10949\" class=\"text 1Chr-21-14\"><sup class=\"versenum\">14\u00a0<\/sup>So the\u00a0<span class=\"small-caps\">Lord<\/span>\u00a0sent a plague on Israel, and seventy thousand men of Israel fell dead. This is why:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As to why God was angry at David, in those times, a man only had the right to count or number what belonged to him. Israel did not belong to David; Israel belonged to God. In\u00a0<a class=\"rtBibleRef\" href=\"https:\/\/biblia.com\/bible\/esv\/Exod%2030.12\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-reference=\"Exod 30.12\" data-version=\"esv\" data-purpose=\"bible-reference\">Exodus 30:12<\/a>\u00a0God told Moses, \u201cWhen you take a census of the Israelites to count them, each one must pay the LORD a ransom for his life at the time he is counted. Then no plague will come on them when you number them.\u201d It was up to God to command a census, and if David counted he should only do it at God\u2019s command, receiving a ransom to \u201catone\u201d for the counting. This is why God was angry again with Israel and is also why David was \u201cconscience-stricken\u201d after he counted Israel. David knew it was wrong and begged God to take away the guilt of his sin (<a class=\"rtBibleRef\" href=\"https:\/\/biblia.com\/bible\/esv\/2%20Sam%2024.10\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-reference=\"2 Sam 24.10\" data-version=\"esv\" data-purpose=\"bible-reference\">2 Samuel 24:10<\/a>).&#8221; Source:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gotquestions.org\/David-census.html\">https:\/\/www.gotquestions.org\/David-census.html<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In UBF whenever the UBF &#8220;missionary&#8221; talks about raising a number of disciples\/sheep and tells the members to recruit a certain number of people to the church\/chapter or to a conference they never ever (to my recollection) state that it is God&#8217;s direction to focus on numbers and take a census. It has always been implied. However, just because something is implied doesn&#8217;t make it true.<\/p>\n<p>In the end UBF doesn&#8217;t belong to Jesus Christ but it is actually under the subtle ownership of the UBF &#8220;missionaries&#8221;. As a result of this continuous unbiblical practice UBF has shrinked in size dramatically.
