Hey everyone, I have finished another project related to this website. I have archived all content from the old website and redirected ubfriends.org to automatically route to our new site here (ubfriends.net). The link is on the right side bar. The archive captures the discussions and articles from 2010 to 2015. This project now preserves the discussions sparked by the fourth collapse of the UBF group.
The Five Year Discussion
You can see how myself and others changed and morphed during these five years. There were heated debates and moments of sober realization. Those discussions are over now, and most of us have moved on. I will do what I can to preserve the articles and comments long term. Here is the link to the archive (also on the sidebar). We had well over 19,000 comments and filled a small encyclopedia!

The Harmful Nature of UBFism
One major theme I see in the five year discussions is our wrestling with UBFism. The cult ideology that I call UBFism is a theologically slanted way of life that exists on the fringe of fundamentalist Christianity, near the edge of Buddhism and Confucianism. UBFism is a strange cocktail, and as a result, the organizations built upon UBFism collapse every 10 years or so. Thus it is critical for members of ubf to deconstruct UBFism and begin to understand it from a more objective viewpoint. I have done such deconstruction in my book, and shared excerpts in articles here:
The Four Collapses
Some at UBF call the ministry collapse a “reform movement”. Others, especially among leaders, call the collapse “Satan’s attack” by the “rebellious” former members. We used to call those who left UBF the “runaways” or the R-Group people. We said they were just bitter or weak in faith. Each time UBF collapses in spectacular fashion, people are hurt. And yet each collapse somehow results in much healing. My hope and prayer is that this fourth collapse that began in 2010 will be permanent. Here is an article where we briefly discussed the four collapses:
Dedication
I dedicate the archive of our five year discussions to all former and current members of any authoritarian cult group. May we all find freedom!
Most commented article: To Stay or Not To Stay?
First article published: What is Good Communication?
Will the UBF leaders finally learn? Will they finally repent and admit the abuse? Will they finally repent and put an end to the controlling shepherding ideology and arranged marriage?
Or will spiritual order reign supreme again, causing another collapse in 2019?
Since today is Holy Saturday, I was reminded about one of my favorite articles I wrote on the old site: Holy Saturday
I’m not sure where the link to the right side bar is.
Since this is archived, it’s slower to access the articles right?
The link is under the “Comment of the Week”

I would expect the HTML archive to be faster or the same.
On a tablet or phone device, it may be actually on the bottom 🙂
