By now, our ubfriends readers know that several things are needed in order to understand the ubf organization. UBF is anything but a normal, maintream Christian ministry. They are abnormal, with theology that lives in the space where hyper-evangelicalism meets Buddhism. UBF has a special insider language, a specific heritage they want to defend, and an overly demanding lifestyle they place on members. If you are going to sign your life away with the new UBF covenant of membership, I think you should be aware of the UBF teachings, doctrine, dogma and language. Especially, the UBF arranged marriage practices and marriage training, called “marriage by faith“, ought to be publicly documented. So we are building a Wiki just for untwisting and understanding shepherding ideology, as practiced by UBF. Not much is published yet, but there is much more to come. Anyone is free to create an account an edit using the Wiki, which is the same software used by Wikipedia. Here is the link: WikiShepherd
Introducing WikiShepherd
August 30, 2016Written by WikiGoat
This is a neat idea. I have so many useless pages of theologically bankrupt Bible study notes for which I never thought I’d find a good use. Maybe I can crack them open from time to time to build articles on various UBF interpretations of passages. We’ll see what happens.
Yes, it is a good idea to keep some of the material. I began throwing away such things, but stopped. I realized I needed to get rid of some stuff that was causing trauma-triggers, like our marriage banner and the white 3 ring binders. Other stuff however I keep as evidence. Yes we really and truly did believe the garbage teachings of UBFism…
So I have many “work of God” books from national staff conferences. Some of these have all the 1:1 and Sunday attendance numbers. I also have some daily breads, newsletters and other books.
My prized possession is the “Spirit, Ministry & Vision” 50th anniversary blue book. That is all you need to know about UBFism because the blue book displays almost all the flaws in grand fashion. This is “prized” because I received it in the mail after resigning as chapter director due to still being on some director list 🙂
In fact, my priestlynation.com website is still listed by some ubf chapter websites as “Detroit ubf”!
I just re-purposed an old UBF Survivor page as a glossary of UBF jargon, with some edits (and more coming, probably!).

Awesome! Thank you very much.
I can so relate to the terms in the glossary. For example, I have been wondering too what service UBF actually provides and where all the money goes that they collect all the time.
I realized (really late) that UBF does not exist for its members and recruits. Members and recruits exist for UBF whose leaders do not want to be accountable to them.
There are so many secrets and so many hidden agendas.
Thank you for that great glossary!
