We have exciting news for everyone.
Me and Wikigoat made a ubfriends.net discussion forum: click here for forum
This forum is available for everyone both ex-members and current members (including “missionaries”.
There are only 2-3 Rules for the Forum
- Please be respectful to everyone
- Please be open minded
- (This is only for current members) Absolutely No fishing (a.k.a recruiting) and No UBF propaganda. This is a two part rule.
Additional notes: I will refrain from the discussion forum for I have spoken a lot recently and would like to hear other voices for a change.
In the discussion forum you can remain completely anonymous.
The discussion forum is not limited to UBF topics. Off-topic discussions are welcomed as well.
If you have any trouble registering/logging into the forum contact the admin.
We have updated the forum. There are now 5 main topics and 2 categories.:
General Category
Forum News
UBF Conferences
UBF General Director Elections
Recovery from UBF
Off- Topic Discussion
Anything that doesn’t pertain to UBF
http://forum.ubfriends.net/index.php
Ressurected as In It existed but was removed
Don’t unressurect it even if it is not always used someone might want it all of a sudden in a crisis
I think there should be a third category. UBF other questions/topics of UBF general questions
For questions not pertaining to recovery for example I wanted to ask, “What does it mean when UBF senior members call a current or perspective Bible student handsome is that UBF code for something?” Or “Is A chapter director always the same thing as a Pastor In UBF?”
What if someone newly exposed to UBF wanted to ask something simple like why are people always being called shepherds? They might not view that as a recovery question. It Is more of a neutral question that does not presume UBF is a cult
Sometimes I just want to ask questions without saying everything is wrong with UBF and I need to recover
If it is under other you list it as not pertaining to UBF so I would not know where to post such questions. They are not exactly recovery questions necessarily although you could argue they are but I would rather there just be a additional category as I described
Good idea, FBU. I added a board for this, “Questions about UBF”.
