Reasonable divorce is good

Did you know that God ordained divorce as surely as he ordained marriage in the books of Moses?  Jesus referenced Moses when he discussed divorce.  If one spouse fears the other may leave it keeps them in check and requires both spouses to submit to each other to the degree necessary to maintain a healthy relationship but not to submit to the point they are so miserable they would rather leave.  With a divorce for a valid reason the spouse may find themselves better off than if they stayed married.  Divorce is an act of unfaithfulness except for numerous valid reasons listed in scripture

Samuel Lee taught physical abuse, the phrase spiritual abuse is vague to me

larken rose refers to this dangerous religion that Samuel Lee and others taught as “the most dangerous superstition” although my thoughts are my own I borrowed his phrase.  He was such a genius he could refute the entire ubf belief system in two minutes if you do not have time to read my post https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=u-sRbR2QQ7w

Samuel Lee  taught a simple and popular ancient heresy which has influenced people to murder more people than any other popular heresy I presently know of

Married couples too busy fishing to multiply

At my chapter less than 1 new disciple per year that stayed in UBF has been produced per married couple on average.  On the other hand a human female is capable of producing almost one child per year from 18 to 30.  Fishing can not be justified as a substitute for multiplying if UBF is truly serious  about maximizing the number of disciples produced.  Discipleship ministry is a farce.

Samuel Lee’s strike against disciple making relies on the labor theory of value

Historically factory owners had a unjust control over factory workers through confiscation of land by the state preventing workers from owning their own means of production.  Workers would justly strike out against owners with unjust gain through slowing down work.

Samuel Lee went on strike against God who was not a unjust factory owner but a benevolent individual who helped people gain resources to aid in their own personal growth.  Samuel Lee despised discipleship and sabotaged it with the labor theory of value.

Distributism learn to teach yourself

Someone’s comment on communism about my good in theory but not in practice post helped me think about this concept

There are only two economic models commonly taught: distributism and slavery.

In distributism individuals own their own means of production or at least their own land and tools where as in slavery a third party owns the means to survive and will hurt, capture or execute you if you try to be in control of your own ability to grow food this slavery system has sometimes been called Marxism and at other times called capitalism.

In distributism sometimes people opt out from growing their own food but still own the tools of their trade on their own so can freely exchange.  In slavery a bureaucratic organisation whether government as in Marxism or corporate as in capitalism holds your tools and land hostage and Marxism and capitalism are really the same thing because a third party owns the means of production

What does this have to do with bible study?

University bible fellowship is advertised as a do it yourself bible teaching service (owning your own means of production) but actually you are to teach the lessons as a bureaucracy dictates (higher ups own the means of production.)  Unlike Marxist countries you can escape it on an individual level by having a change of mind.  Instead of using real force to prevent you from doing it yourself bible study they use imagined force from a God who will punish people who think out of line (and I am not denying God’s existence.)  In order to be free from Marxism or capitalism a massive number of people would have to have a change of mind and the means to physically defend themselves or an individual must find a means to hide but in order to escape from top down bible study an individual can merely change their mind and live in plain sight about their beliefs in front of church members except of course the beliefs the government will kill you for those might need to stay hidden.

There are also several other threats than an imagined portrayal of God such as social ostracism and imagined consequences of living life the non ubf way such as fears that dating might lead to bad results these fears might or might not well be legitimate and maybe should be a reason to behave a certain way but should not block your mind from thinking about alternative possibilities!

Ubf good in theory but not in practice part 1

I still stand for what I believed ubf was involved in when I became seriously committed to the group.  I believed ubf was about helping people on a grassroots level not a denomination with a top down hierarchy.  I am committed to the mission I believed ubf was about and as such i must oppose the old guard.  If i have time i will explain what I admire about ubf as advertised and how ubf as practiced is often contrary to the advertisement.  For now I will just say if we reached out to our neighbors and had sincere dialogues open to each other’s viewpoints and willing to help with shared goals the world might be a better place

I have more understanding than the elders,
for I obey your precepts psalm 119:100 niv

It was obeying the precepts as advertised that got me in trouble with the group
